There is the "Circle Tour of Lake Michigan" Route which travels along (as much
as possible) the lakefront.
You pick up Lake Shore Drive in Chicago continue north to Sheridan road which
is beautiful and had the house where the really rich people (those who do not
have children in private schools OR sports cars) live. That road continues to
the Wisconsin boarder and......... well your on you own then.
Just north of Milwaukee you can pick Lake Drive (home of the Lake Drive 100mph
club--- don't even think about asking!).
Not sure what happens then with the roads.
