Willy,
You're not trying to separate the yoke that's welded to the shaft
itself, are you? There's no need for that. In one u-joint
there's the center "plus sign" and two "yokes". One yoke is
firmly embedded in the tubular driveshaft and the other yoke has
the short transmission splined fitting on it. For the purpose
of this conversion you need only send in your yoke with the
transmission fitting on it. A stock spridget "plus sign" is
used and fitted into the rest of the stock spridget driveshaft.
If you already have your front u-joint out, you're home free.
