Sills and doglegs

Hello all
I have recently bought myself another Sprite and it needs sills. The lower
doglegs need replacing too and I was wondering what the prefered method of
welding the joint between the two was.  I think the two were origonaly spot
welded, but I can't see any way of getting access to the back, unless I
join them together before hand.  Is that the way?  Also the lower door
hinges need replacing, are there any tricks regarding them?
