Nope, it's not the carb.

It was the fuel tank & fuel filter.

I double checked the union between the plastic line & metal line near
the rear tire. Dry.

I take off the rear cockpit panel in the trunk. Wetness. My repair from
many moons ago apparently wasn't good enough on the fuel meter ring. One
of the tangs(on the tank) is busted, as well as the tang that
corresponds to it. My attempts to fix it failed, so it's time for a new
tank.

The plastic fuel filter near said tank was wet. The spring-loaded clip
ring thing was not where it was supposed to be. Time for screw-on type.

Off to Victoria British I go. They have a special on fuel tanks, but
I want the fixins as well, so I'm only saving $13.
