The bottoms of the letters are 5 inches above the bottom lip of the boot
lid. The left of the T to the right of the H is just at 18 inches.
To get them properly spaces, I would recomend laying it out on a piece of
butcher paper and punching holes for the posts. Then you can tape the paper
onto the lid in order to transfer the layout.
Better still, don't punch holes at all. Remove the posts and apply the
letters with 3M double stick trim tape. Then you don't have to worry about
water seeping through the holes.
