Subject: victoria british/those other guys...
so in the process of looking for a/c parts and other parts I thought the
prospective gt6 would need, I found another, nicer one for sale. looks
like I'll be buying that one.
that one, though, has a few rust holes that I remember my spitfire
having, and I got some replacement sheet metal from victoria british. I
remember being very disappointed with the quality of the panel, and I
ended up scouring the town for a body guy to fab the small panel I
needed rather than try to get the victoria british part to work. I
later ended up being kinda unhappy with a lot of what they sent me. not
all of it, but I remember thinking they weren't overly concerned with
what they were sending out.
has this changed any? this was about ten years ago.
the only other option at the time wasn't really an option--the guys
(whose name I can not now remember for the life of me) in pennsylvania.
you know 'em, big outfit, were building an inn/hotel last I paid
attention. had some bear teddy ruxpin mascot. did all things tr3-6,
and some late spitfire, but no early spitfire. I asked for four years,
and each time the early spit was right around the corner, but never
happened. I remember they said they had stuff, but never seemed around
to getting a list out. had to call each time and spent a lot of time on
hold.
anyhow, I suppose I'm asking to see who we get parts from nowadays.
