Way back in the 1920's a very small garage/repair shop in the Bronx New York
advertised a service for prolonging the life of auto engines, the service was
called  "Pure Oil Later" and thus  the present day oil filter  and the garage
became  "Puralator", this comes from a book I have on the history of cars in
