 Your garage looks very similar to mine, including a hardtop hanging from

I think you are right about the thread repair insert. It looks like a E-Z
Lock. The one I have is beat up and will not screw down flush with the
block. It has coarse inside threads too. Looks like I can get one with fine
threads from Smallparts and use the stock head stud.
