The standard dual kit for a 1500 Spitfire has 30mm chokes,115 mains and 170
air jets. The standard single kit calls for 28mm chokes, 125 mains and 160 air
jets. The standard formula for a 1500 motor with peak HP@6000 would indicate
28mm chokes on duals with 28X4=112 or 115 mains and 115+60=175 air jets. Not
to mention F8 vs F9 idle jets. I would think F8's. So after buying the
standard setup for dual 40DCOE's you may need different chokes at 20.00X4, air
jets at 6.00X4, Idle jets at 6.00X4 and to do it up right extra sizes of air
jets and main jets. Throw in an assortment of pump jets and intake/exhaust
valves.
Is it worth it? I would like to know before I buy any more stuff.
