Well I've gotten al the electrics working now.
I had to pull the tranny tunnel to replace the
speedo cable and check the reverse light switch.
So I figured while I was there I'd pull the tranny
and check the clutch. While the tranny was out I
replaced the rear seal. Wow! It's a real Borg and Beck
clutch (stamped right in the pressure plate) and the
fiction plate looks almost new! Man I'm getting good
at this tranny stuff. Pulling it, replacing the seal,
and putting it back in took less then three hours!
( No...Gail didn't even help this time :-D )
...pics of the tranny, floors and etc will be posted soon.
On a side note.... and unrelated to the Beasty....
I'm on the hunt for a set of the late MKIII rear brake
back plates, drums and etc. I'm looking for all the goodies
needed to completely redo a late MKIII self adjusting brake
setup. If anyone has these parts, let me know what
you'd like for the setup. If you've only got the whole
axle assemblies all the way out to and including the
brakes and drums, that will work too.
