Off again I'm afraid, back on the trail of my ignition / running problems.
We seem to get over one problem to find the next!!!
My Spit Mk1 will not rev over 4,000 - it coughs and splutters and drops back
to 3,500. Those who follow my saga will have seen the problems I had with
the carbs, I know they need resetting and balancing but could these cause
this problem?
Timing is spot on and I have recently installed an electronic ignition
system, so I dont think its there. I also recently replaced the
distributor. Dont think is there but this sort of problem leads me to think
its vacuum advance / retard issues.
Any suggestions before I start the logic process?
