Thanks for all the suggestions. Matt suggested a heat gun to soften up the undercoat. I liked that idea but didn't have one. Luke said fire worked for him, so I used my propane torch. The stuff don't burn but it softens up and scrapes off with a putty knife. The residue should come off with a nice volatile finish remover. It's still slow work. Larry |
