Even on my GT6 with a full roof line...
I put the frame up on wood blocks then
I used a floor jack under a long 4"x4" to make sure
my floor was level when I put in my sills.

Subject: >>NASS rocker replacement on 1972 Spitfire...
Dear Listers,
I know this has been covered ad nauseum, but I am facing this task soon. My
question is this: I have a factory hard top (steel). will this provide the
needed structural support for the body by its self? I'm not in the mood nor
do I have the space to remove the door and weld in a brace. The hardtop is
a standard winter item and it would make the job easier from me. (I will be
doing the replacement outside...the garage is full of my TR3 project.
