No oil on rubber!!! Squirt some slightly soapy water on one joint at a time until the noise goes away. Then you will know the source of the problem. Don't forget the sway bar bushings. BTW, the inner lower A-arm bushings tend to disintegrate after 8-10 years of just sitting around. Check them carefully, and compare them to the upper A-arm bushings. Replacing them is a time-honored ritual initiation into the Spitfire mechanic's guild :-) Doug Braun '72 Spit |
