Just had a nosey at mine:

Viewed from the side, it's practically straight. The sag that you need for it
to "lock out" when the bonnet's in the up position comes from the slight angle
in the channel piece at the joint between the two bars. The channel piece is
attached to the lower bar such that it conceals the connection between the two
parts when the bonnet is in the up position.

Viewed from the top, there's a *very* slight bend in the lower piece, and a
more pronounced "s" in the upper piece. This dog-leg allows the bar to align
with the upper mounting inside the inner wing.

Hope you can follow that. Would be better with a digital camera.
