Just a quick question - is there a mounting bracket on the later ('76)
spitfires that this clips into?

Looking at my friends '74 TR6 that he is rebuilding and that I help on
occasionally, it has bracket and I know my unit it just hanging there in the
middle over the transmission tunnel.

If there is one, where is it? Just to save me hunting all under the dash.

On a secondary note. My new fuel pump works fine and with the diff and rebuilt
rear spring back in and previously new shorter front springs, new bushings and
shocks all around, yesterday was a beautiful day with sunshine and the top
down. Saturday I got a bit wet with the top down on the way home when I got
caught at the traffic lights.
What these cars were made for and all the work was worthwhile. So much smoother
and quieter. Now the exhaust sounds louder (but good) or is it that I have not
had the top down for a while .....
