I am sure that this problem has reared its ugly head before.,
Unfortunately I can remember what was the solution.
However it sounds like crap in the needle valve.
Wiggling the plastic thing (float) obviously dislodged it a bit.
Best take it apart (easy) and give it a good blow.
It rectified itself probably just due to vibrations.
My dad had a mini that you had to hit the float bowl with a screw driver
when the same happened
