Chip,
If it were me I would start with the dip switch. The switch connects to the
wiring loom with a multi-plug connector - disconnect it, try and identify
which wires operate the dip, and test whether they are working with a
multimeter.
Then check the supply to the switch, to see if there is a live feed where
there should be. That should tell you if the problem lies upstream or
downstream of the switch.
