Ok- Due to several realizations, I now have a surplus TR3 I had gotten as a
project... I don't really have room for it, I don't have the time or money for
the project(which is in line behind the Herald, the 69 Plymouth, the Pickup,
and my flying lessons) so I am offering it up to any interested parties to make
offers on.
The vehicle is a 1960 TR-3, with a TS713XX L serial number. Engine and Tranny
numbers are TS678XX numbers.
It is about 90% original complete, has at one time been repainted, but is in
need of total restoration. Engine appears to have been rebuilt, with no time on
it since rebuild. Tranny and rest of vehicle seem untouched, except for
disassembly of easy items. Body is still on frame, which seems ok. Starter,
generator, heater switch, horns, exhaust are all missing. Painted wire wheels,
includes original jack and ratcheting handle. Many spares included. Usual rust
locations, both front fenders damaged by DPO who tin canned them to get to the
door hinges!(Good body man could repair them)
Vehicle could be a very nice restoration, either to Concours or daily driver.
There is no title for this vehicle at the moment- was received from landlord of
tenant who abandoned it, after a two year failure to pay rent. Roughly, she is
a high grade 5 car- restorable, etc.
I need to find her a new home ASAP, and will be listening to reasonable offers,
and am willing to send pics. Please contact me immediately if interested- first
reasonable offer with cash gets it.
Scott
PS- For those interested, the Herald is just waiting final seal caulking,
sanding, and paint. Then I can bolt everything back on!
