Doug,
          Actually,I believe after real seals were added to the trans,O.D.
trans still used the scroll. The bellhousing is different,and the input
shaft is different. I found this out when I had to replace the input shaft
in my O.D. trans.(The trans is from a '80 spit. it used the scroll seal)
