Same thing - no, similar - yes.
Last summer I had the starter rebuilt and found it easier to put in and take
out without the oil pressure sending unit in place. My electric fue pump is
wire through that unit! After replacing the starter and the sending unit I
started it up and it ran for a minute or so. My battery was getting low so
I had my two teen age sons pushing the car up and down the street. After a
lot of pushing I sent them away to ponder the situation. It was then I
realized the glass fuel filter was empty - I'd hooked the wires up wrong to
the sender. Short the wires, fill the carb, hook it up right, roll down the
drive - VROOOOM.
I guess that's what makes it fun!
