A local wrecking yard here has recent;y pulled in a MK IV and a 1500.
These cars are not in restorable condition but they are relatively complete.
That makes them a wealth of mechanical parts. I would like to see these
parts go to good use rather than the crusher. If anyone is in need of
parts, I am willing to act as a middleman. I can probably mail smaller
parts, but if you need something like a motor the best I can do is move
it to my house (assuming I can move it at all, I've never really tried to
move a complete engine, just a short block.) and hold it till you can pick
it up. I am assuming I will need to have money sent to me before he will
give me the parts, but you never know till you ask.

So, with all that, send me your list of parts you need or want and I will
see what arrangements I can make with them. Oh yeah, the chrome bumbers
from the MK IV and the drivetrain from the 1500 (Bellhousing to diff, it's
an OD tranny) are already spoken for. :-)

Let's not let these parts just go to the crusher.

And on another note (Joe Curry?) should I grab the numers off these??
Are lost cars also being kept in the Spitfire Database??
