OK, I guess I'll weigh in here just for the halibut, although I'll do not
much more than piss some people off for wasted bandwidth...

The following definitions pertain to my views, and are not necessarily
reflective of real life:

CLASSIC: These were made by Rambler Corp. in the 1960s, therefore, it
doesn't apply to Spitfires. Period.

VINTAGE: This means "produced from only one year." Therefore, some
Spitfires may be Vintage, others, ie mine, will not be since I've got parts
on it from several years. Let's not delve into BATF & CFR defining
appellation and the 85% rule...

VETERAN: This implies service to one's country... methinks that our Spits
are only named after the true veterans.

ANTIQUE: This is something MY Grandparents would've owned... definitely
not a Spitfire -- although my grandma had a convertible Kharmann Ghia for a
few years when I was a kid.

In summary, the only application IMHO, is that Spits could be Vintage, but
in terms of my car, it would have to be in the Non-Vintage category.

I hope that this clears up the discussion for everyone ;^)
