At one time many years ago I was into boating and loved to watch the unlimited hydroplanes, the engine & exhaust noise was just overwhelmingly awsome, and these flying hydros were powered by the original Allison engines and then the R/R Merlins, most of the owners carried 3/4 engines while traverling the circuit, they were a very rare and hard to come by engines in the late 50's & early 60's.
