Shrug, when I do cut them with a torch, I tend to hold the spring with my bare
hands just a few inches away from where I'm cutting. The heat doesn't travel
far, and as long as you don't foolishly run the torch over your hand, you won't
get hot fingers.

When cutting a section out of a coil spring (just one coil) will anyone please
hold the top of the spring with your bare hands to make the cut easier for me,
remember we are only applying heat to the bottom coil so this will have no
effect on the spring heating up to the top coil ===laughing like heck=, no you
hold it Huck, no not me Tom "FT"
