I think that like any mod, you would have to be pretty careful.
I guess we're comming down to the old 'chestnut' of wether you update your
car with modern mechanicals, or try upgrading using period accessories.
If I had my choice I would have two spits, one for each approaches. (BTW
Liked the picture of your spit in the TSSC magazine this month)
