Hi.,
I also replaced my battery box.
I used a dremel with a small disc cutter blade (well 4 or 5 really).
This after talking with my body man. Since I am not doing a complete rebuild
altering the structure and then having to weld was not seen as the best
path.
I bent up the two edges of the new battery box where the right and left
supports are. I then installed the battery box with ATV sealent and some
screws.
I am using my car to drive and smile, not to win car shows so this was a
much better alternative for me.
New box, happy car, and dry passenger feet.
Which ever way you choose have fun!
