So based on all of the helpful emails, if the car is under heavy acceleraion
then misfire can occur and this would come out of the tailpipe as unburnt
gas smell?

I did pick up new plugs, I have not changed them in the time I have had the
car. Besides they only cost $12cdn for the set. So she will have new plugs
set correctly.
