Well, here we are, two weeks away from Rhinebeck, and I don't quite think
she'll make it...However:
The body welding is done, save for a few touch ups, so the body will be coming
home shortly, to finish being stripped and POR-15'd. Then it will be mounted
to the frame, and prepped for priming to be followed by final paint.
Tonight, I refinished the two front seats. The kits I got from Canley were
quite nice, although some more in-depth instructions would have decidedly
helped, as well as about twice as many clips! (And "hog rings" are necessary
for the rear seat, but are not included!, much less even mentioned...)
The seats were pretty easy, in the long run. And I even got them looking nice.
Took about three hours for both fronts. (I had stripped them and repainted the
frames earlier)
Everything else is shaping up, but I don't think she'll be done in time.
Scott
slightly disappointed by the fortunes of rebuilding.
