How much for an engine

Hey listers,
        There is a 1979 Engine for sale near me.  Apparently a bad head
gasket.  Engine includes is valve cover to oilpan, dist, water pump, tstat
housing and hose fittings but no manifolds.
What is a reasonable price for an engine such as this for a potential winter
rebuild project????
