Funny-a Spitfire friend and I were talking about this very same thing
yesterday. Neither of us remember a Spitfire in either film (and I can't stand
Mike Myers, so I only watched for the cars!)
Yes-there was the Jag in both movies-the Shaguar is currently on display at the
Petersen Automotive Museum in L.A.-really worth the trip to see it in person!
Gorgeous paint! Dave told me that the whole job took a little less than 2 weeks
from start to finish. The paint took them about two very, very long days to
do-incredible when you think that every layer, every colour was hand buffed and
every colour went on seperately! It's absolutely smooth!
Also at the Petersen is the new VW Beetle from the second movie. The paint
isn't nearly as smooth-and the stars, ladies and gentlemen-are DECALS! (Wellm I
guess it looked good on film-and you only get what you pay for!)
Yes, if memory serves, there was a Vette in the second one too.
