On a similar note, I have been looking for new carpet for my wife's 70 spit.
I'd like to get a one piece molded carpet rather than the stock style.
Where is the best (least expensive) place to buy this type of carpet?
Thanks

Subject: Used Spitfire carpet set WANTED
Hello everyone,
Well the Spit is out of hibernation and doing quite fine although I have a
list of things to do before I take any long trips.
Anyway, I was wondering if anybody who has or will be replacing their carpet
set from their spitfire if they would be willing to sell the used one to me.
I don't want anything rotten but wear (and even lot of wear) is OK.
I don't want to buy a new carpet set right now 'cause the car is not ready
for it. It's brake MC leaks once in a while, water leaks in when raining
and many other things that could ruin a new carpet. Until the car undergoes
a complete restoration (once the TR6 is done), I just want to put in
something that won't cost me too much.
The car is completely "naked" right now and the result is VERY noisy, hot
and smelly because of all the little holes in the firewall. I will buy a
ABS trans cover withing the next few weeks to help even more (mine is quite
sad looking right now)
Anyway, if anyone has one that they will be willing to part with, please
contact me off-list.
Thanks
Steph
