Mike & Rich .
A '63 Spitfire is officially called a Spitfire 4 , but it is also
" unofficially " known as a Mk 1 Spitfire . Soft top frames for the early
Spitfires are unfortunately becoming rather scarce and expensive . Spitfire
Graveyard and Canley Classics ( John Kipping ) , both UK vendors , may also
be able to help .
It is also possible to make a frame yourself . Of course not original , but
if money is tight ...
Kind regards .
Chris de Wet .
PO Box 472 , Ifafi , 0260 , South Africa .

Projects ( for sale ) :
'62 Herald 1200 Coupe , '65 Herald 12/50 ( convertible ) ,
'63 Spitfire 4 Mk 1 , '66 Spitfire 4 Mk 2 .

A '63 is a Mark I, yes? Rimmer Bros list a remanufactured frame for
Mark I/II as part number 903635, at GBP169.95 (USD243-ish) + VAT.
and postage on this could be costly.
