If you don't have the correct measuring rods and tools, don't attempt to adjust 
things like the mixture or the plungers and such.  You'll get them screwed up 
and end up running worse then before.  Just check the float.  The Rochester is 
one touchy carburetor when it comes to settings; far easier to screw it up then 
to get it right.
