I would hate to be the spoil-sport here and I think you deserve a lot of
credit taking the trophy irregardless of the mods, but changes in the
suspension and the exhaust should put you into a street prepared class. That
can be a significant change in your PAX index depending on where you are
driving. I face the same problem. I run a '77 Spit with suspension, exhaust
and carburation mods against stock TR-6s. I have to run 5 seconds faster in
order to beat them, because they run H-stock (PAX index 0.781) and I run
F-Street Prepared (PAX index 0.820).
There is no justice.
