I have the Dec '00 issue that has the Ro-Spit on the cover with the bonnet 
off.  I don't know if they changed the radiator after the photo was taken, 
but the one that's in the car in the picture isn't a factory VW unit.  It 
appears to be brass/copper construction with metal side tanks.  The 
transverse engine VW's (Rabbit, Golf, etc.) are all plastic tank/aluminum 
core radiators.  If you need an left input/right output radiator a number of 
the stock car radiators for Chevy engines use that, look at 
www.afcoracing.com.  The 80127N is 24"w x 18.5"h and $179.  Only problems I 
could see (if that would fit) are mounting and the inlet/outlet sizes 
(1.5"/1.75")
