Hello again;
I' truly amazed by the depth of knowledge on this list. Maybe you all can
help me. I purchased my '68 in the fall for $500, plus a '70 parts car from a
friend who hadn't driven it in ~3 years. One cool thing about this car is
that it was in a Japanese coffee commercial! Anyway, I can't get it to start.
I've got fuel to the pump, spark, turns over well, just won't start. I'm
guessing that there may be varnish in the lines between the pump and the
carbs. Suggestions?
Additionally, the clutch fluid leaks, I'm going to rebuild the master and the
slave, and rebush the shift lever. I've got a new brake m/c, the old one
leaked like crazy, do I need to replace the wheel cylinders, too?
Also, what's the deal w/the M/C and Castrol brake fluid? Will using anything
else trash the seals?
thanks,
Brians
