I ended up putting a little brake fluid into the M/C, then brushing more
onto the seals and putting it back together. While I would have liked to
have "finished" the job, i couldn't come up with a good way of sealing the
fluid in after bench-bleeding, so I didn't. That will get done just before
it gets installed into the car. In the meantime, the mounting bracket will
be getting treated to a sand and re-paint. When it gets a little warmer
outside, the area of the bulkhead where the M/C mounts will get similar
attention too.
