The car probably is actually a 1980, faked as a 1975 from a parts car title
and vin tag to get around emissions. My 1980 is listed to the MVA as a 1980
only because I'm running historical tags. If I ever were to convert it to a
daily driver, it would immediately become a 1974, ie, it would take on the
identity of my parts car. As a 74 it would be exempt from emissions testing
and wouldn't have problems getting tags with the dual SU's and such. As a
1980, I couldn't do it. It's a common enough trick to get around government
beaurocracy. That's why I've also got several VW Beetle titles and a few
spare motorycle titles as well..
The car does appear to be a 1980, judging from the steering column and
dashboard layout.
