That same 3M spray contact cement adhesive I used for the ABS trans
cover insulation works great for the seal as well. Just spray it on the
surface of both the cover and the seal, let it dry to the touch and
stick it on. Works great, never came off even after removing the cover
a couple of times for maintenance over the course of 4 years.
