The real question here is, after dipping which will not only take off all
paint, and supposedly rust, but will remove your protective layers. How do
you retreat those places that are inside joints. Items like the inside of
rockers and a pillars and such would seam almost impossible to retreat
without disassembly. Do they have a plan for this?

I just checked with the metal finishers, they said the Spit body would
cost $300 to $375 depending on size. In Cincinnati there is a one
year waiting list for dipping auto bodies. However, due to the small
size of the Spitfire, there is no waiting list. In my case I plan to
use a fiberglass bonnet so that puts me even further ahead of the line
of work to be dipped. They said if the body is 10' or less the car
would qualify for immediate processing (meaning probably 3 weeks).
