I'm sure it will work, but judging from the picture it won't really fit
correctly.  Notwithstanding the slight curvature of the Spitfire body, the
front or rear, depending upon the installation had a thicker section to
allow the lens to remain basically parallel to the body line axis.  These
replacements (again, judging from the picture) will cause the lenses to
angle inwards at the front and at the rear because of the constant
thickness of the base.  Of course it's better than no lens/lamp at all and
for those that HAVE to replace the base it's about the only option, but I
for one could tell right off if the pictured base was used, that it wasn't
the same as a factory one -
