over 10 years, or 4.6 deaths per year.

  Instead of all this hoopla over a POSSIBLE tire problem that MAY
have cost 4.6 lives per year, just getting a few more people to
buckle up would be orders of magnitude more effective in saving
lives.

  I don't really want to say anything too opinionated here, but
at least read the article and consider the relative risk and
the relative scale of the damages involved.
