I'm thinking of upgrading my spit's studs, (3/8 X 24 TPI). Below, Joe
recommends upgrading to TR6 ones. Earlier today (or was it yesterday) there was
an e-mail that recommended TR7 ones, which are apparently 7/16 X 20 TPI.
What are the figures for the TR6 ones? And which is better, the TR6, or the
TR7's? If I upgrade, I obviously don't want to have to change the wheels also.

It is not a bad idea to upgrade the Spit Studs to the TR6 ones. It is not all
that expensive to do so and it creates the following
benefits:
1. Much stronger studs
2. Much greater availability of lug nuts
