No, it's not the paint that put me off. It was a very well executed
conversion from a Spitfire into a pimpmobile. I actually like Spitfires
pretty much as Triumph made them. Sure, there are improvements to be made in
performance or handling, and I know that many would prefer a few more
creature comforts. Equally the "normal" colours aren't to everyone's
preference, but most of us still have Spitfires which are identifiable with
Triumph's concept of a small sportscar. I wouldn't want to spend huge
amounts of money creating something unique, but which is too perfect to
drive?
Just my opinion of course,
