Really?  How do you check the brake lights with only one mechanic?

Actually, the only time I've ever seen two mechanics work on a car at once
is during an MOT, when the government decides how much the garage is
allowed to charge.  I assume that it's cheaper to pay one guy to sit in the
car and turn the lights on at the same time as another guy checks they all
work and are aligned, than it would be to have one mechanic walking
backwards and forwards between the light switch and the front of the car.

You mean that in the UK, a garage will have TWO mechanics
working on a car at the same time???

If they started doing that here, the labor rates would double!!!
