Dave;
I recently received the same model SS header (RL1206) for my '79 Spitfire,
and yes, it is in three pieces. I "dry fitted" the pieces to the head and
the fit was perfect. I have not installed is as yet because I am still
wrestling with a carb problem that cropped up 4 weeks ago that defies all
logical solutions.

Subject: Rimmer stianless stell header
It took about 10 days for my order with the stainless steel header to
arrive.
I was surprised that it came in 3 pieces, I guess this will make install
much easier. The part number that I order for my 78 Spit is RL1206, one
section for the 1st and last cylinder, the other one for the middle two
cylinders and the last one connects the first two sections to the main pipe
going to the muffler.
Has anyone gotten such header or do they all come in three sections? Also,
I'm thinking of polishing the header on a buffer before installing it. Is
this a good idea?
