Frank,
I cracked the bottom off of my canister and spread its contents (charcoal
pellets & circular screen(s)) onto the patio; washed up the charcoal and
brushed all the crud off which was clogging the screen(s); after sun-drying,
stuffed the innards back in; and re-secured the bottom plate by drilling a
couple of holes & inserting a couple of screws. (I sent a couple of more
detailed messages on the process; if I can find them, I'll forward them
off-list.)
