Well, things seem a bit better.
I got my parts in today, and installed the new spark plug wires, distrib cap,
and a few other nicknacks.
With a mostly-charged battery, the starter was much more responsive. It
actually turned the engine, but she didn't turn over. argh.
But I put it back on the charger, and checked the plugs. The gap was too
big, and they were definitely carbon fouled. THere was a bit of gas on the
rearmost sparkplug, which I think confirmed my suspicon of that cylinder not
getting ANY spark and the other 3 getting weak sparks.
So I cleaned and regappped, and will giveit a shot later this week.
