What mark of GT6 are you concerned with?
The windscreen(shield) frame of the Mk1 and 2 (+) are the same as a spitfire
Mk1/2/3, TR4/4a/5/250/6, apart from not having the side
reinforcements/mountings. The GT6 frame is only held in place at the bottom
by the three bolts in the centre of the frame to the top of the dash, and at
the top by two bolts into the roof panel. The Spitfire et al has extra
mounts each end of the frame to make it more rigid in the form of rods that
go into the dash top and bolt to the bulkhead.
The later models (spitfire mk4/1500 and GT6 mk3) have a frame integral with
the bulkhead top, and I am pretty sure that these are interchangeable, but
as they are integral parts of the bulkhead(firewall?) on these cars it would
be difficult to remove. I am not too sure about how structural the
differences are on these models?
